TeamKidDiscipleship

What is the TeamKID Club?
A TeamKID Club is a group of 30 or fewer children led by a head coach and at least one coach who use the TeamKID resources to enhance spiritual growth. The resources provide churches with many suggestions and ideas about setting up and running a TeamKID club.

Why is the KID capitalized in TeamKID?
The KID stands for Kids in Discipleship. Discipling children is the goal of TeamKID.

What happens in a TeamKID meeting?
TeamKID is designed for children to do more than memorize Scripture. It helps children understand what the verses they memorize mean because all parts of the TeamKID meeting focus on one Bible message. The noncompetitive games, Bible story, memory verse, missions, refreshments, and conclusion all contribute to help children understand and apply God’s Word to their lives.

A TeamKID meeting has six parts with each one flowing into the next to keep the pace moving with non-stop energy:

  1. WARM-UP is the opening activity that begins as soon as the first child arrives at TeamKID.
  2. WORKOUT includes energized, interactive Bible study as children hear or experience a Bible story, learn the meaning of a Bible verse, apply Bible truths to their lives, sing, and pray.
  3. REACH OUT uses either the missions DVD, missions activities, or mission action projects to teach children about missions around the world.
  4. STRETCHING is when children work on learning the memory verse.
  5. THE TOURNAMENT is a time to run, play, and laugh with fun games and activities that reinforce the Bible study.
  6. COOL DOWN is the final few minutes of the meeting and includes refreshments and a review of what children have learned.

Where can students go to have an amazing time connecting with friends and learning about God’s plan for their life?

Youth Wednesday Nights
Each Wednesday Night we have a group gathering of youth.   Our youth pastor (Josh Ellis) leads the youth in the five basic elements of worship.  The youth sing worship songs, pray, give, fellowship and have a relevant message from the Bible.  Each Wednesday night, the youth play basketball, pool, ping-pong, air hockey, and video games before coming together in worship.  Josh has a passion to help each student become a devoted follower of Jesus Christ.  The youth meet every Wednesday night from 6:00-8:00 in the Basement of Building C.

Youth Sunday School
Youth/Student Ministry Sunday School: For Middle School and High School
The Life Focus emphasis of the class uses scripture in modern language (the New Living Translation) to help students see the Bible has answers to today’s teens and life events. Lessons are written in units with several weeks teaching building together, yet each lesson stands alone and is complete and wraps up each week. The Bible study will follow a six year cycle going through God’s Word. Student will learn and study scripture, as well as and use various methods of application, case studies, as well as various other methods and activities to apply God’s word to their every day life.

Adults
Young Family – Life does not come with a set of instructions for understanding all that happens. We get married, begin to have children, and jump headlong into the confusing world of the family. The Bible has a lot to say about how to live life skillfully during these exciting days. Our young family groups seek to provide a biblical under-girding to everything we see, hear, and experience in family life and is designed for young couples in their 20’s and 30’s..

Growing Family – As couples enter their 40’s and 50’s, new challenges arise. Toddlers quickly become rambling Middle Schoolers. Life goes from fast-paced to lightening-speed. These new adventures in Christian living require a biblical pursuit of the purpose that God has planned for your life. Our growing family groups provide tools and biblical guidance to help you navigate these experiences more wisely and more purposefully.

Maturing Family – The senior adult years can be the most fruitful years for God’s service, and the legacy we leave is often based on our ability to finish well. Our Maturing Families Ministry provides sound biblical teaching to encourage those over 60 to make their mark and become legacy leaders.
