Rev. Mark Jones III
Pastor Mark came to First Baptist Church as Senior Pastor in 2015, but his history here goes back much further. His grandparents were members of First Baptist for over 40 years and his parents were married here. Mark has been a part of FBC Greensboro since coming here to Sunday School and Vacation Bible School as a child.
Mark has degrees from Truett-McConnell University, Mercer University and earned a Master of Divinity from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. He has been in the ministry for over 35 years and served churches in Kentucky, Indiana and Georgia. He has also been a volunteer police chaplain, hospital chaplain and sports chaplain.
Mark is married to Kay, a Speech-Language Pathologist who works in local schools. Together they have one son, Ford Jones, a lawyer here in the Lake Oconee area.
Rev. Randall LaRoche
Minister of Families and Outreach
Randall joined the ministry team at FBCG the Winter of 2016. His mission is to further reach and encourage the young families in the Greene County Community. He directly works within the Children, Youth and Young Adult Ministries within the church body.
He is a native Georgian who has served in full time ministry for over ten years. Randall attended Brewton-Parker College and received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Christian Studies. He continued his studies and earned a Master of Arts in Religion – Church Planting and Evangelism Degree; and then he continued and received a Master of Divinity – Pastoral Ministries Degree. Both Masters from Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary.
Randall met his wife, Heidi, while they were both students at Brewton-Parker College. They have been blessed with four children, Anna (10), Abigail (8), Clark (3), & Charlie (2).
